The owners and staff at The Regent Grand™ have made a long-term commitment to minimize the impact that our operations have on the environment. 
 
Our green policies and procedures include the following: 

• Our AC is set to 82 degrees when a room is unoccupied. 
• Where possible, external corridor and public toilet lights are sensor and timer operated. 
• Our hot water boilers are on timers to avoid unnecessary waste. 
• Our pool and fountain pumps as well as our landscape lighting are all on timers. 
• We train our staff in environmentally friendly initiatives in order to avoid unnecessary waste. 
• Guests are encouraged to participate in our green policies by reusing their towels if they wish to do so. 
• We are converting to energy-saving light bulbs. 
• We use locally sourced products wherever possible. 
• Guest initiatives: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle 

 
Additionally, we invite our guests to support our endeavors with a few suggestions: 

• Conserve energy – reduce energy by switching off lights and fans. 
• Conserve energy – please keep windows closed when you are running the AC. 
• Give cars and cabs a rest – avoid cars, if only for the day. Eat locally and shop locally. We have many fine restaurants within a short walk of the hotel and have bikes available for your use. 
• Be water wise – please use water wisely. Turn off the tap when brushing your teeth and support our towel policies and other water saving initiatives.
