Around Grace Bay

THE TURKS & CAICOS ISLANDS

The Regent Grand is located on the island of Providenciales in the Turks and Caicos Islands, nestled between the uninhabited island of West Caicos and the tranquil outpost of Pine Cay. Less than six hundred miles southeast of Miami and one hundred miles north of the Dominican Republic, it is a prime Caribbean destination that welcomes visitors like no place on earth.

The island of Providenciales has become well known for its wonderful beaches and excellent climate. Grace Bay has been voted 'the best beach in the world' by both Conde Naste and World Traveler, and more and mroe people are beginning to find out why.

Lured by the splendor of pristine beaches and the seductive embrace of the trade winds, more and more cities are adding flights to Providenciales each day. American Airlines, British Airways, US Airways, Air Canada, Delta Airlines, Air Jamaica, and Bahamas Air are among the airlines that currently offer service from New York, Miami, London, Toronto, Atlanta, Boston and Charlotte, to name a few. Domestic and International Charter flights are also available from many locations.

A British Crown Territory, it enjoys the privilege of tax-neutral status. There is no personal income tax, annual property tax or capital gains tax, just a one-time Stamp Duty payable on property acquisition. The US Dollar is the official currency of the Turks and Caicos Islands and electricity follows the US standard of 120 volts/60 cycles. English is the primary language but you will also hear French, Spanish, German and Creole spoken among the natives and residents.
