THE DEVELOPER The Regent Grand is being developed by The Regent Ltd, a subsidiary company of HAB Group. HAB Group has a successful history of development on Providenciales and is one of the longest standing companies on the island. It was founded in 1983, later that year acquiring 770 acres of land on the island. Recognizing the development potential of Providenciales, HAB then purchased The Turks & Caicos Water Company in 1989, which in turn allowed them to embark upon their first development, Provo Golf and Country Club, which was completed in 1992. Further land purchases were also undertaken, including land on North Caicos and elsewhere on Providenciales: a smart move given the ensuing period of significant land value appreciation in the Turks and Caicos Islands.
As a result, HAB Group have been at the forefront of the recent Providenciales property development boom and now have a growing reputation in Turks and Caicos Islands as outstanding developers of luxury beachfront condominiums. In addition to The Regent Grand these include Villa Renaissance, The Vellagio , (soon to be released), and The Regent Village, which is fast being recognised as the premier commercial development in Grace Bay.
HAB Group is proud to have been part of the growth and development in the Turks and Caicos Islands which has seen the local economy boom and the population increase from 600 inhabitants and some iguanas, to a thriving community exceeding 25,000.
Completion of The Regent Grand is expected for Spring 2007.
THE ARCHITECT The Regent Grand was designed by architects Simon Wood & Associates. Inspired by neo-classical Italian, and Caribbean architecture, it has evolved into a classic of its own. Using Renaissance-style details that include grand staircases, arches and columns, fountains, covered walkways, moldings and shutters, they have captured the essence of old Roman architecture and blended it to suit modern Caribbean living. Simon Wood is the head designer and supervising architect for The Regent Grand. Simon's vision, creativity, passion and diversity are to be seen in the designs of Villa Renaissance, Point Grace, The Mansions and the clubhouse at Provo Golf Club, among others.
THE CONTRACTOR JACA TCI Ltd is the main contractor for the property. New to the Turks and Caicos Islands, they have teamed up with local contractor Chuck Musgrove to form JACA TCI Ltd.
